The SPETZ-9 is one of the Support class’ primary weapons, as well as being the backup arm for some Assault weapon load-outs. Its wide cone of fire is devastating at close quarters, which makes the SPETZ-9 best suited for ambushes and last-minute defense.

There are two enhanced, unlockable SPETZ weapons: the SPETZ-12 and the SPETZ-9VA Tier 2 weapons, which feature semi-automatic fire, and splash damage respectively. Each version can be customized with the usual precision, damage and clip size-enhancing gizmos available in ND.

Lone heroes are never depicted wielding one of the Spetz series shotguns, though many a crafty player has sent careless enemies to their graves, often swearing loudly and profusely at this diminutive shotgun’s unexpected kick. Never underestimate the lock, the stock, or the smoking barrels.
